Long live weekends

Going m/m e-book shopping can quickly become an overwhelming experience.
I guess I never appreciated the way naked man chests with no heads can all look the same. When did the covers all start looking like this?
I have narrowed down my choices to the same few at Extasy and LooseID that I have been eyeing for sometime. Not sure why I haven’t crossed the threshold into buying mode on those yet. I know I had been becoming disappointed with the ebooks in general, but my last two purchases at Torquere and Liquid Silver were very happy-making, so things seem to be on the upswing in that dept.
I am closing in on second draft of coming-of-age slash story set on a space station. LOL. That is my working description. It’s a lot like My Brother’s Keeper in that I have a list of things that should be “fixed” before it’s suitable for public consumption. Though, we never got around to fixing that list of items on MBK and people seemed to enjoy that story just fine.
Ciaran’s Gift, which really needs a new title, is still coming along slowly. We sorted out another plot hurdle today. There were a few things mentioned in the My Brother’s Keeper epilogue that sounded lovely at the time, but now we realize we have to actually write them out, ha, and have found ourselves in a bit of a predicament mostly due to the twincest taboo. But no worries, we can handle it!
Lastly, I was sad to see yaoihouse.net drop off the radar the other day. Though I read somewhere that it might come back under new management. I really felt like they “got” the whole slash/yaoi mix thing in a way that most epubs offering m/m don’t, and I was looking forward to several of the stories listed as coming soon. Particularly the one by Becca Abbot, for whom I have had a huge fangirl crush for some time.
Ah well, good luck to them.
