In the interest of updating this blog, I thought I’d mention a few things I’ve read in the last couple of months that I really enjoyed. :D

There is a reason I’m not a reviewer, though. Don’t expect more than a ‘hey, I liked this.’ :P

  • Finally read Jet Mykles’s Heaven. Can’t imagine what took me so long! Really liked it. From the blurb I wasn’t sure I would, but it was great.
  • I don’t think I mentioned having read Mychael Black’s Specula when it came out. I loved this. A sexy and caring medical kink story. (For the interested, Myc also has another medical kink friendly novella hidden away on the free section of his site. Yum!)
  • Paul’s Dream by Rowan McBride. This was a first for me in two ways–first book I bought based on a review site’s recommendation, and first purchase at Liquid Silver. Oh, and first book I read by Rowan! I was happily pleased all around. (I might note, clicking on random links from Mr. McBride’s site can lead you to very innnnteresting places.)
  • And last but not least, Syd McGinley’s latest Dr. Fell installment Pet Rescue. With the Dr. Fell stories I find myself drawn in equally by the author style and the content. There is just a nice quality to the first person/present tense approach here. If you’re not familiar with the series, a kind fan has created a wonderful page about it here. (I suppose one might warn for BDSM when reccing these stories, but the real warning is for lack of happy ending omg! Still worth it though.)

RD is on the road again. When she gets back, she’ll chime in with a few books she’s read lately as well!
