Taking another look at it
Posted by rdsolange under: writing.
Sometimes, even though you love it like it were one of your children, you have to take a story and put it away. For whatever reason the story becomes mired down in problems and questions about where it is going and why.
And then, there’s that beautiful, wonderful day when you happen to get a bolt […]

And here I swore I wouldn’t talk about twincest again…
Posted by Denise Kendrick under: My Brother's Keeper; writing.
Welp, the free ebooks we posted have been downloaded a combined 315 times in less than thirty days.
I wish I knew what that meant. I should have put up some sort of poll to at least find out if people were downloading because they heard the book had twincest in it, or if they were […]

Things in progress

Special Handling is turning out a bit longer than we expected. It’s done this several times already, in fact. Makes it look like we’ve made no progress, but we have!
A wonderful friend finally told me what was wrong with in need of improvement in Skylar’s story, so I’m resetting the total back to zero. Woe. […]

Rave Reviews for Ash, Trey and the Aether Sprite!
Posted by Denise Kendrick under: Ash Trey and the Aether Sprite; writing.
Apparently RD and I have been asleep at the wheel, Sprite has been reviewed twice and we missed it!
Now, we knew this story was a little off-beat, but I sincerely hoped that people would enjoy it as the bit of fluffy, sexy fun that it is, and apparently they did!
WitchGiggles at Alternative-Read says: “This is […]

Make it so, number one
Posted by rdsolange under: writing.
Writing a long, envolved story is a little like fucking with the time space continuum.
Everytime you go backwards in the storyline, you have the power to totally mess with everything that comes after.
One little change, one misplaced hand or unintential shared look and poof! all of your hard earned UST goes down the tubes.

Long live weekends

Going m/m e-book shopping can quickly become an overwhelming experience.
I guess I never appreciated the way naked man chests with no heads can all look the same. When did the covers all start looking like this?
I have narrowed down my choices to the same few at Extasy and LooseID that I have been eyeing for […]

Think revealingly short hemlines
Posted by Denise Kendrick under: writing.
RD has got me thinking about men in skirts. Very short skirts.
It’s honestly not my thing. Or at least, I would have always said it wasn’t my thing. Fortunately, on occasion she goes and does it anyway, and then I kind of stare at the results, find myself adjusting my collar, and say, “Uh… That’s […]

Character musings; writings in progress
Posted by Denise Kendrick under: My Brother's Keeper; writing.
Dex did something very nice for Malik last night. I was quite in love with him for a moment, and I thought to myself, “This story might actually work!”
RD and I have been turning a short story set in the future of the My Brother’s Keeper universe, Ciaran’s Gift, into a novel. When we first […]
